David Perry saved our home. The day after a heavy wind storm I noticed our beautiful, old Douglas fir leaning dangerously towards our house. The roots had lifted from the ground and it looked as though with another light wind, this tree was destined to come down and take our house with it. Being Saturday late afternoon, and with the sun about to set, we made plans to stay elsewhere for a sleepless night. First thing Sunday morning, panic mode set in and I began emailing and calling every tree falling business on the Island. Dave answered! By 10 am he was at my place, hands on hips and sizing up this massive fir tree’s final resting spot. Shortly after, hallelujah, he had found his target (well away from my house) and I could breathe again. No reward beer for Dave, he requested tea, and wouldn’t even finish off the pot. I have had Dave come and do a couple jobs for me. From climbing up and bringing a tree down piece by piece to falling some tricky trees near the house, it was done with safety and skill that we had no concerns.
