We just bought a home in Saltair. Unfortunately, while the property is beautiful, both the front and back yards were neglected and very overgrown. Fruit and ornamental trees had been left to go wild over time, and were blocking our and our neighbour’s views.

Dave Perry of Big Wind Tree Service arrived in the ‘Green Machine’, did a thorough assessment of our situation, and within hours had wrestled multiple trees, bushes, and ornamental shrubs into a state of neat and MUCH more attractive and manageable compliance, and cleaned up the worksite.

I am writing this as to the great work Dave Perry of Big Wind Tree Service did for me on my property.

Dave took down a large dead tree leaning towards our cottage. Being a technical cut , Dave brought the tree down precisely where we wanted it and then took down another tree with a 15ft + widow maker at the top.

With the tree going one way and the widow maker falling backwards , Dave watched it fall right where he wanted it with a big smile on his face.
Well done.

Dave also gave great advice for our fruit trees and other large trees on our property that we were concerned about and he put us at ease as they have many more years of life and shade to provide for our family.

David Perry of Big Wind Tree Service saved our home. The day after a heavy wind storm I noticed our beautiful, old Douglas fir leaning dangerously towards our house. The roots had lifted from the ground and it looked as though with another light wind, this tree was destined to come down and take our house with it.

Being Saturday late afternoon, and with the sun about to set, we made plans to stay elsewhere for a sleepless night. First thing Sunday morning, panic mode set in and I began emailing and calling every tree falling business on the Island. Dave answered! By 10 am he was at my place, hands on hips and sizing up this massive fir tree’s final resting spot. Shortly after, hallelujah, he had found his target (well away from my house) and I could breathe again.

No reward beer for Dave, he requested tea, and wouldn’t even finish off the pot. He was on his way to save the world again!
